Curiosity killed the one who traveled far enough to hear
That sound that woke the neighbors woke the town
Why'd she have to go she went (SAY) ignoring what her mother said
Ignoring generations past (LISTEN) ignoring the sounds of broken glass
(DIE) She killed she died she hurt she cried
It happened on that night that she so distant so remiss
From the world that blew her one final kiss
Curiosity took over her mind which ignored the rest of her kind
(SAY) But her and she knew when she heard the cry out of the blue
(DIE) She was finished this was it
But she stole one look and then
All at once she saw black as black as the cat that Curiosity killed
(DIE) And in turn she was killed by the booing of the crowd
The disturbances clear and loud
She took one final breath and prepared herself (prepared herself)
For the inevitable death
So young, so young of mind and heart she was destined from the start

(LISTEN) Which way she didn't think she didn't act she didn't speak
Then one day (GO) she heard her own voice calling to her above the noise
The noiseless noise fading, and then all was silent.
Then it was up to her to do what she must

I gaze out of my window and see the freshly fallen snow
A beautiful blanket of white my eyes behold
A white dusting covers every tree
This place is an impeccable white as far as the eye can see
It's a clean slate serving to recreate
To avenge my past and start anew
I run outside I know not where
But I follow the voices I hear (come to me, oh come to me)
And my legs break out before me and I'm running
It feels so good just as I know it should
Suddenly there's a play before me
A puppet show carrying on through the thick white snow
I stop and watch hypnotized knowing this is where I should be
A part of myself beseeches me to run away free
The beautifully dressed puppets smile hauntingly
Each movement that they make is made perfectly
A sense of disquiet captures my body
I try to run but my legs no longer move willingly
I scream but no sound escapes my lips
My heart and soul tumble into a perpetual black abyss
